Małgorzata Oleszkiewicz is a multidisciplinary artist based in Gdańsk, working across painting, graphic arts, photography and mixed media. In her practice she combines image, word and sound, creating multilayered narratives and intense visual-emotional experiences. Her work emerges from a need for experimentation and the freedom to move fluidly between different media.
She is a graduate of the Sopot Academy of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Interior Architecture, and also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, in the fields of Interior Architecture as well as Graphic Arts, Painting and Scenography. This interdisciplinary background naturally shapes her artistic language, giving it spatial awareness, flexibility and multidimensionality.
Oleszkiewicz’s works have been presented in numerous prestigious institutions and galleries - including the Centre for Contemporary Art and ZPAP in Toruń, the Biennale in Skopje, the Quadriennale in Prague, as well as exhibition spaces in New York, Berlin, Rome, Venice and Padua. Her works are held in private collections across Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Greece.
She has collaborated with the Alternative Culture Studio, Academicon Publishing House, Dziennik Bałtycki, and various cultural institutions and media.
